  1. Yes, giving is a way to help your career and your conscience. I give to all my schools, and this week it’s led to a job interview. I work in development and it helps me appreciate how the whole philanthropic system works.

    You don’t have to give a lot; I find $50 is a good size gift; big enough to blip on most radars, but not a bank breaker.
