I made reference a few days ago to an upcoming giveaway. I think this contest will be good for three types of readers:
1. If you have a small or new blog, these giveaways will expose you to Brip Blap’s readership, which (depending on the day) averages 700 visitors per day. Most of that is thanks to a well-timed and generous Stumble from Patrick over at Cash Money Life – the effect of which has been tremendous.
2. If you don’t have a blog but really want to see what it feels like to have your thoughts published and have people read and react to them, here’s a great way to dip your toes in the water.
3. If there is something you want to promote – a cause, an eBay store, etc. – this will be a way to get some free advertising.
So here is the giveaway: I will choose the winners from commentators from any post since the inception of the site through this Friday, November 9 at 8 pm. Add a new comment to any post. There is no need to remind me of previous comments, I have already highlighted a few of the best for consideration. I will give preference to well-thought-out comments rather than one-sentence blurbs.
I will choose 3 comments in no particular order. Each winner will be able to choose:
1. An ad for your blog (or if you don’t have a blog, a site of your choosing) on my site*. Not a blogroll, not a link – I’ll actually put an ad (most likely a little link with a blurb) in the sidebar. If you have a blog with a feed, I’ll put a feed widget in there so your post titles will pop up. Might be below the fold, but it will be on the front page. Great way to expose a new blog. It will run for a week.
2. Your comment can become a front-page, fully-featured guest post on Brip Blap. I will notify you if I chose your post, and you’ll have the option to either flesh it out yourself, or I will just post it as is and put some commentary of my own at the end (clearly identified as my commentary, I won’t edit your words except for spelling errors). Either way, I’ll make sure your blog is featured if you have one OR the website of your choice* is featured if you don’t.
3. I will write a guest post for your blog on a topic related to your blog*. If you don’t have a blog, you might not want to pick this one – but if you do I’ll send you a clever email or something…
* In each case I reserve the right to cancel the whole thing without any notice or reason if I see fit. Anything that I deem unfit (obscene, spammy, defamatory, insulting, harmful, inappropriate etc.) will give me the right to withdraw the giveaway even after it has been awarded.
This contest owes its existence to Millionaire Mommy Next Door’s excellent Carnival of Personal Finance hosting turn, where she gave away similar prizes. I thought it was a great idea and decided to do something similar.
All of these awards are 100% at my discretion. There is no cash value to any of these giveaways.

700 hits/day? Wow – that’s awesome!
Mike
Hi!
I don’t know if this comment fits here. It’s my first time to read your blog and I am so glad because I can relate with you. I love Robert Kiyosaki also.
I believe in your vision of being a bimillionaire in 2017. AND I salute you for a very strong mind set and for seeing your future like it is already happening. WOW!
You are indeed an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Be blessed!
I’m flattered that you’re offering a similar contest and I like your modifications.
Speaking of contests, as the runaway winner of mine for the PF Carnival, which award would you like to select? Congratulations for your well-deserved win!
I keep putting off exploring the blog–just look at one or two posts and move on. Maybe this would be a good week to go through your archives!
(but then I’ll be self-conscious about my comments. Then again, I don’t have to win. And I’m a self-described rabid commenter anyway *blushes*)
Hopefully you’ll help some blogs out with this. Good luck!
@Mike – thanks!
@Marnellie – welcome! Thanks for the vote of confidence, it actually means a lot AND helps a lot.
@MMND, Mrs. Micah – I certainly do hope that people will like this contest – we’ll see how it goes!
Hey there – looking forward to the contest and I have been a subscriber to your blog for a bit now and enjoy it.
The Dividend Guy
Thanks for the mention, Brip Blap. The success of the “Stumble” though is due to the quality of the article you wrote.
Hello there Brip Blap Brip Blap (I just like saying that). I found your PF blog somehow. I think it was the clever name that led me here.
I wish I had such ambitious financial aspirations. I haven’t even set a million dollar target date out of realistic concern that the goal would be too lofty. Just taking it year by year for now!
