• I really liked your rationale here. I especially liked the application. I think taking small risks all the time builds up confidence and confidence is the key when you go for the big out of the park hits. If the coaches got so good at doing 2 point plays then they just might be the first to graduate to the real league with it.
  • I agree, if nothing else you learn more about yourself and become more well rounded by taking small calculated risks in your life like that. Maybe you end up seeing a movie that you don't like, but now you know.

    Taking small risks is good for your brain, too. Sometime ago, I read that even the simple decision to take a different route to work made your brain form new synapses (or whatever), which in turn helps prevent Alzheimer's disease. So sure, go somewhere different without a map, order something new at a restaurant, pick up a book from an unknown author. Really, what's the worst that can happen!?!?
