What a cute story- does your son always say "little buddy" instead of "I"? He sounds really cute.
  • @Altair33: Well, he is cute, although he's grown up a bit since I wrote
that story and doesn't talk in the clever little toddler-speak as much
anymore. That is one of my favorite posts I've written, even though
    it's a small one.
  • I'm just getting caught up on your posts... totally awesome. Sharing this with my wife. (We don't have kids.)
  • Young children have a great way to remind us of our priorities. This is one of the main reasons God invented children, I think.

    Cheers

    That is sweet!!!

I still remember a day several months ago that my then 3 year old asked why her daddy was at work. Then answered her own question with "Is it so we don't have to live in a box and eat sand?"

    Well, yeah...kinda
  • LOL, Emily! Where did she get the sand-eating bit from? Did she see someone doing it, or is that just her imagination at work?
  • Awe, that's just precious. As a father of a nearly 3 year old girl, I fully understand. When I go on business trips the 2YO and the 6YO both get all teary eyed and I feel like a foul beast leaving them for a few days.
  • i am so never going to be a parent. :)
  • When my son tells me stuff like that it makes me want to call out sick and spend the entire day playing with him. I used ot make fun of stay-home-Dads until I had kids, then I decided I could do that in a heartbeat!
